question
I do not see the system tray icons for the PowerTerm WebConnect Server and Load Balancer even though they are running. Why is that? I’m using Windows Server 2008 / Vista.

answer

When running on Windows versions up to and including Windows Server 2003, the PowerTerm WebConnect server and Load Balancer server display an icon in the system tray of the Console session. Due to changes made by Microsoft in Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista that have to do with system security, these icons are no longer displayed on those systems. If you want to verify that these services are running properly and also start and stop them, use their respective Administration Tools or the Windows Services manager.
