Ericom Software Names Nick Kael as Chief Technology Officer
Company Expands Executive Management Team to Drive Growth of Cybersecurity Solutions
New York, N.Y., (April 30, 2019) – Ericom Software, a global leader in securing and connecting the digital workspace, today announced the appointment of technology industry veteran Nick Kael as the company’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Kael possesses a broad range of knowledge in domains encompassing information security, web technologies, architecture, infrastructure, networking, and development environments.
With Ericom claiming an increasingly significant presence in the cybersecurity sector, the company sought to add a seasoned, visionary CTO to its executive leadership team to crystallize Ericom’s technology vision and define the company’s technology strategy. In Nick Kael, Ericom has found the ideal individual to provide sound technology leadership for all aspects of Ericom’s business, and communicate the company’s vision to customers, partners, employees, board members, analysts, media, investors and all stakeholders.
Kael joins the company most recently from Symantec, where he held the position of Group CTO for Global Service Providers, responsible for technical teams for pre and post-sales, as well as technical training for partners, and interfacing with R&D, product and support.
During his previous tenure at Symantec, from 2009 through 2012, Kael was responsible for security strategy and direction, understanding the threat landscape and industry trends, and leveraging best practices. He played a key role on the Chief Technology Officer’s team as trusted advisor to Symantec executives and leading customers’ management teams. Kael was also responsible for private and public-sector customers across North America.
With over 24-years' experience, Kael has held leadership roles in network and security engineering for leading telecommunications providers including MCI, Qwest, Global Crossing, and British Telecom, where he served as Director of Managed Security Services for North America.

Before entering the corporate world, Kael served as a Team Leader in the United States Marine Corps for eight years. In that capacity, he managed various aspects of security that were vital to operations on both the physical and logical levels. Kael has earned security certifications including CISSP, CEHv7, CCSK, BCCPP & Bluecoat Blue Knight, MCSE + Security, CCDP, CCNA, CCSA, VTP5, and VTSP5.
