Ericom Virtual Meeting Isolation (VMI) executes meetings in an isolated environment in the Ericom Global Cloud. Policy-based controls restrict feature availability for each meeting and for each user, which data can be shared, and how. To protect PII and other sensitive data from exposure in meeting chats or files, data loss prevention (DLP) may be applied.

Intentionally or unawares, users might deliver malware via virtual meetings. Malicious links and weaponized images and files might be sent via chat or embedded in meeting recordings. IP addresses exposed in the apps offer attractive attack surfaces.

Ericom VMI isolates all virtual meeting web code in evanescent containers in the cloud. Only safe rendering data reaches user browsers. Within the container, files and images shared in the meeting are sanitized with content disarm and reconstruct (CDR) and malicious links – even in encrypted meeting chats – are disabled. Participant endpoint IPs are cloaked from view to protect networks.
